Water Bug

Place: Trujillo, Honduras (in the dog's water bowl)
Time: 10:22am
Name: Unknown
Type of Creature: Water Bug
Description: A soft looking bug, water proof (water rolls off, like a duck). Front legs are like paddles with spikes along the bottom edge. Two antennae, two small spikes in the back (like a cricket). Possibly carnivorous. 1 1/2 inches long. Light brown in color. Thorax-1/4 of an inch in width and 1/2 of an inch in length. Abdomen-1/4 of an inch in width and 1 inch in length. Head little bigger than an 1/8 of an inch.
Comments:I personally would describe it as long, thin, and gross.

  1. Yes, Jonathan, I definitely agree with your personal description -gross! And it must have been pretty gross getting all those measurements. I think you should call it a "water bowl bug" :-)
